Governor Bob Riley appointed Robert L. Broussard to the office of Madison County District Attorney to complete the term of retiring DA Tim Morgan.

Broussard takes office June 1. "After reviewing his resume and interviewing local leaders, I am convinced there could be no better candidate for the office of District Attorney than Rob Broussard,: Governor Riley said. "It is easy to understand why the District Attorney, Tim Morgan, has recomnmended him as his replacement. In order to ensure an orderly transition, I am announcing today that I will appoint Rob Broussard as District Attorney for Madison County to begin serving at the time of Tim Morgan's resignation."

"I'm honored that the Governor has the confidence in me to appoint me to this position," Broussard said. "After 21 years of working in this office, I know the business from top to bottom and I'm confident that experience will serve me well. I look foward to serving the people of Madison County as their District Attorney."
