Governor Bob Riley presented the 2010 Judicial Conservationist of the Year award to Madison County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Glover on August 6, 2010 at a ceremony in Prattville.  The annual Wildlife Federation Governor's Conservation Achievement Awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made great contributions to the conservation of our state wildlife and related natural resources.

Glover was recognized for initiating a plan in Madison County District courts to consolidate all conservation cases on to a monthly specialized court docket.  Glover's expertise and support for natural resources conservation through strong judicial action has resulted in a conviction rate approaching 100 percent.  In the last year alone, Glover successfully prosecuted 200 major hunting-related cases with fines against violators totaling $80,000.00.  In addition, Glover volunteers with the Hunter Education Safety programs for Alabama youth to introduce future generations of hunters and fishermen to the outdoors.
