Felony Crime Division

This division of the District Attorney's Office prosecutes all violent crime, illegal drug crime and property crime.

Violent Crime consists of murder, rape, assault, robbery, sodomy, sexual abuse, and child abuse.

The Madison County District Attorney's Office takes domestic violence very seriously and has a no-drop policy with regard to spousal violence.

Property Crime consists of shoplifting, theft, burglary, receiving stolen property, fraudulent use of a credit card, issuing worthless checks, identity, embezzlement, etc.
